Each day at Camp Onas has a wide array of activities for campers to choose from – whether your child enjoys arts and crafts, sports, swimming, ropes course, or nature, there will be something for them! With four activity periods to choose from every day and an all-camp evening activity every night, campers have ample opportunity to make new friends and discover new passions.
Here at Camp Onas, we believe that giving children the agency to direct their own experience leads to newfound confidence, self-exploration, and trust in themselves and their peers. Campers will be in a combination of meal groups, bunk assignments, and all-camp activities where they can meet new people who can become their support network during their session. The vast majority of our programming is integrated across gender, age, and ability so that everyone has the opportunity to do things together. The main exception is our living accommodations, where campers choose which “side” of Camp they would like to reside for their session based on their preference for a predominantly boys or girls space (with agency in that choice for our friends who identify as neither).

Campers live in outdoor pavilions that will connect them with the beautiful natural surroundings of our campus. With a raised platform, roof, and canvas walls that can be dropped during inclement weather, campers spend almost all of their time in the outdoors while they are at Camp Onas, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Many campers come to Camp with little experience camping or spending significant time in nature, and leave wanting to spend more time sleeping outside – it is truly special! Not only do campers sleep outside, but our 72-acre campus is theirs to utilize throughout the day, with lots of time for self-directed exploration while supervised by our counselors.
Our experienced staff is uniquely qualified to deliver the Onas experience because 100% of them are former campers who understand the mission and values of our community deeply. With a 3:1 camper/counselor ratio, all campers receive extensive attention and care to help them make the most of their experience. The Camp Onas staff is committed to creating an affirming and loving environment for all campers that join us and are equipped with the skills to do so. Our goal is for your child to walk away from their time at Onas feeling celebrated for going on a journey to discover new parts of themselves!
