Arlington has amazing summer camp options!  In this article, we have provided information about summer camps offered through the county, as well as private offerings.  Have fun out there!

Summer Camp Through Arlington County

One of the biggest perks of our town is the AMAZING selection of summer camps that are offered.  Here's what you need to know: 

Arlington County Camps

REGISTRATION OPENS MARCH 24 AT 7AM

Multiple locations throughout Arlington, half day, full day, and extended day options available, Ages 3-18

Sessions start the week of June 21

Sessions end the week of August 23

Offerings include: 

  • CREATIVE ARTS CAMPS: For those who want to learn to paint, act, throw a pot, sing a song and more.
  • CLASSIC CAMPS : Structured and unstructured camps that include art, sports, and more.
  • IMAGINATION & EXPLORATION CAMPS: Science, magic, history and imagination strategy games together.
  • SPORTS CAMPS: Multi-sport and sport-specific camps.
  • NATURE, ADVENTURE OR HISTORY CAMPS: Hiking, nature,  canoeing, caving and more.
  • COOKING & WELLNESS CAMPS: For kids who love to cook and experiment.
  • CAMPS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES: Camps specifically designed for individuals with disabilities. Please note! Arlington County can make modifications in any camp for kids with disabilities.

Fine Arts Camps

Arlington Arts Center (AAC)

AAC is looking forward to a safe, fun, and creative summer, with both virtual and in-person summer camp and class options! AAC’s complete summer schedule will be announced in mid-April 2021. 


Art House 7

Ages 5-11, Sessions June 21-July 30, Sessions are 9-12, 11-12, and 1-4, depending on age and class.

Your little ones will delight in a variety of art classes in a cozy two-story studio, taught by teachers from art departments from local schools and community organizations. Classes this summer are semi-private – only five students per class! 


BalletNova Center For Dance

BalletNova offers half day camps for ages 4.5-6, full day camps for ages 7-13 and intensive ballet workshops for more serious dancers 13-18.


Educational Theatre Company (ETC)

Join Encore Stage this summer for an exciting theatre adventure! Summer camps provide a fun and safe environment for children to explore theatre arts.


Jane Franklin Dance

Kettler Capitals Iceplex Hockey and Ice Skating Summer Camps

Keep cool and learn ice hockey, figure skating, and basic skating fundamentals in these all-level classes.

The Little Gym of Arlington

Day camp at The Little Gym of Arlington gives your kid the summer camp experience without the bug bites, poison ivy and week-long commitments (you can select by the day).
